That's kind of an awkward cut at 1:01.

Good entry though - Already steps above almost every submission last round. The piano music threw me at first, but I re-watched it and kind of like how it rounds out the video.

Did he steal her gum?

@ KRN, haha, yeah, I just thought that.

Not bad at all. My only critiques would be
A. I think you could have added a lot more tension to the last scene. Faster, intenser music, and tighter shots could have made a big difference.
B. I think it would have been a better cliff hanger if you had ended it right before the bad guys broke in, or at least have cut out the gunshot.

But hey, its your film, if you want it to go that way, go for it.

Not bad, but maybe you could have spent a little more time on the writing itself.

There does need to be something leading up the "climax". Are we supposed to be worried for the girl because of the guy in the mask? Obviously not because she doesn't seem scared when he takes it off, in fact he appears to want to help save her. Then we realize the true danger, but instead of her realizing what's going on and building up the suspense, she's already shot.

Good job otherwise.

I think this video would win if it wasn't for the poor acting quality and shotty sound work... haha

That gunshot sounds familiar... good acoustics for an indoor scene.

I volunteered my help for the muzzle flash, but cutting to black also works.. :)

I liked the camera p.o.v. through the mask. Creative.

Patrick Fox is hideous. He should have kept the mask on.

AgainstTheClock, what the hell? Why are your videos (usually the better) always in last place? Build that fan base! Get more damn votes already!!

@JakusB Thanks! We think they're pretty good, too. However, I think the integrity of Rootclip is easily compromised with making acquaintances vote for us. We'd like people to vote for our video because they legitimately think it's worthy, not because they know who we are.

LOL Different... I like it.

Your humbleness is going to put you guys in last place every time. I think the "popular vote" represents an important aspect of the film industry: its not what you know, its who you know. In the TV/Film business, you'll sometimes get places not because of how good you are (thats where the judges come into play) but because of who you know. Now suck up that self righteousness and call some friends. =)

I have already commented on this piece to the team involved. Audio was a big problem. Almost over-did the through the mask effect. 180 degree break on the couch to kitchen shot. Had real potential.

@AgainstTheClock, didn't Kevin and Erik (the makers of Rootclip) come into our class and tell us to get everyone we know to vote? I don't think the integrity is compromised when the creators are encouraging us to promote our projects for votes.

Woah, cat fight! I sense a little animosity.

I can see where joshutk is coming from (assuming he was affiliated with this chapter?). It's kind of hard to get motivated for these when you've recently been competing for money.

the creator should just quit, you'll never make it in this industry, hell TVC wouldn't even hire you.

Rootclip is just promoting itself when trying to get your friends to vote. Building hits. I guess that's a good strategy.
