Hmm. Not a bad start, welcome to Rootclip!

I think we can first address the obvious and say you guys clearly didn't have top-notch gear to work with. Not a problem, though, it's the story and the talent that really counts.

Your acting was pretty reasonable -- you guys done any theater programs or other video work? And the music was a decent choice, too, over the type of stuff so many upstart entries drop in.

Places to focus on for next time include getting a little more interesting with the camera, trying to improve your sound (if you don't have better equipment, then just planning to keep the camera closer or speaking up will help), and watching out for jump cuts (when you turn the camera off and back on, but film the next shot from any angle that isn't different enough from the last.)

Good luck! Thanks for posting!

It wasn't that bad. It would of been better with a tripod and some close ups. Beside that I thought it was good, just a little hard to hear. Good luck to you guys =D

Not bad. If I can make some suggestions though. Close ups are your friend. Don't be afraid of them. You can actually create an entire movie of all close ups and still make a good movie. Try it and you will see. You use close ups to cover the scenery that you don't have. If you used close ups you may never tell you were actually in a class room. You could be anywhere. Another suggestion is audio. The audience can only experience your movie by using two senses. Sight and hearing. Something to consider. Close ups in this video would have given you good sound as well. One other thing is what I have been saying to the other submissions... the age group might be a little off from the subject of the story. I know the competition may make it a little hard to do but it's better to get the audience submerged in your story instead of thinking about other things. The dialogue works just may not be the right dialogue for the actors. Overall the filmmaker has potential and I look forward to seeing more! Keep it up!
