Gotta love a good zombie flick. I got made up as one for a party a while back... good times.

isn't the dude in the hat and sunglasses the same guy that played tony in last rounds winner "Chase" and also played the "bad guy" in the weird movie about the kid that won the first root clip grand prize? If you win again this week, it might start looking a little suspicious guys. Not that I'm accusing you of cheating but you sure have a knack for getting tons of last second votes. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, if this thing keeps losing credibility then nobody is going to enter. I don't know how you pull it off, but I would be shocked if you didn't pull out a last minute win again this week.

By the way, the movie isn't as bad as some I've seen but I've got to rank it fourth best this week so far.

Thnank you shark, I do know it does look suspicious, but the truth is we all wanted to make videos, being me and my friends, so we all agreed to help eachother out. The rules say one submission per household and none of us live together and we just want to be able to compete like everyone else. Not saying that your comment doesn't make sense, because it does, but if a different person is getting credit for it, then there is no reason why friends can't help friends out and act for each other. Thanks though, I was afraid people would say something, I hope we can keep this competition to good comments, and constuctive critism. Accusing people of things is never good and just makes people angry. Let's just enjoy the competition and have fun.

Soulshine, I agree with you 100% and I apologize for the comments. I don't even have a dog in this fight so I shouldn't have said it. Just expressing my concerns that came up, but after thinking about it, you're right. As long as it's within the rules then nobody should have a problem with it. Good luck this week. I am pulling for a different film just because I like the story line better, but you all do some really good stuff and I look forward to seeing more of it in the future.

This is pretty funny, but I don't know if this is where the story should go.

Next contest, you should take control of the story early with something like this, and I would probably vote for it, since I'm a HUGE fan of zombie movies.

I think its too late in the story to try and develop it into a zombie movie. I think that there arent really enough chapters to make it turn that way decently.

interesting idea, but Scott opened the case in the first Chapter...why didn't he get infected and why would he take a virus with him? in terms of story, it just doesn't make much sense, although the idea was good.

also, thriller is a copyrighted song, even if it's just a small clip.

Greus, that is true that Scott did open the case in the first one so why isn't he infected? maybe it broke from the fall or something, i don't know maybe he is immune, maybe it wasn't the gas that turned her into the zombie, maybe it was the thriller!

This is so funny. I love the two guys just watching a woman turn into a zombie and eat the heart of someone else. One is looking shocked and grossed out and the other one is kind of smiling and laughing. Priceless. Plus, they're really cute. This one is so the best and should win.

This one is almost in 2nd so I do believe the logical thing to do is to accuse them of cheating ;)

oh yes, and all you people thought zombies went just for the brains of humans. I wonder if the zombie's dance moves could carry into her new state.

This one is funny but it really doesn't advance the story at all. That seems to be what most people are missing. I love humor and action and zombies as much as the next guy, but this entire story is only 6 chapters and you can't really afford to waste an entire chapter that consists of a zombie eating some chick with no other plot advancement taking place.

maybe the rest of the chapters could be trying to stop the zombies, or the gas spreading, any submission could be BSed to fit if the people doing the next chapter just know how to BS. I think the harder to BS the more talented the film maker plus I just love zombies!

I'm not really feeling the comments about "not advancing the story"

We are deciding the story as we go. Some strange gas that creates zombies is a pretty huge advancement. Don't get me wrong, I don't love this clip. But just because this isn't where someone wanted the story to go, it's pretty weird to say it's not advancing.

I smell multiple accounts from one IP address.

I smell hungrymother, am I right, especially since you can see/hear the same actor/voice present in it.

Oh well, it's one submission per chapter, so more power to them I guess. I'm not exactly sure people are going to be happy if they have to start making a zombie movie halfway into this contest: how exactly can we resolve a zombie apocalypse in 4-5 minutes WELL?

I know for one I probably won't be submitting anything, since anywhere you might go with this just wouldn't do justice to zombie movies as a genre: it would probably just be another watered down, hasty movie sadly.

Like I said before, this submission would have been much better earlier one.

SomethingsAwry, I am confused. I admitted to working with the same people earlier, I am just getting the credit this time since I directed and edited. hungrymother did help me, but it is my video. There is no rule against friends making videos, or even using the same actors. The voices however they do sound similar, but they are different, they are brothers so that is understandable. You also should stop smelling hungrymother, he smells like carrots and throw-up, no one wants to smell that. I smell bagels!

This one is so lame I don't see how it can be winning. It just magically got a ton of votes in the last few hours. I think it should be disqualified!!

Well, heres how I see it. This group has been winning since Chapter 5 of last competition. Theyve won everything since then. They're obviously from the same area as the root clip guys. they use copyrighted material and get away with it. and they magically jump ahead when they were down by 30, so they got 50 votes in about 2 hours. My guess:

They're actually the rootclip guys who do what they want so they dont have to payout when the time comes.

Ok, I'm going to confess.

I am a member of an extensive online game community. In addition to their votes, I, of course, had the normal 70+ votes from supportive friends, family, etc etc.

I know it looks a little strange, but each vote cast for The Wrong Guy, as far to my knowledge, is a legit person, unless they decided to take it upon themselves to help in the wrong way (if I find out any of my friends did that, god help them). I worked hard for each vote, selling my movie idea out to all of my friends and colleagues, working for each vote harder than you would even imagine. Sadly, even garnering the support of more real people than I thought was even possible it seems that I'm still outdone somehow, from people who only managed to win by a margin of two votes in the last round. As I write this, they are 65 votes further than they have ever been before, a monumental feat.

So, congrats on organizing 60+ people to vote within the last hour of the competition, a number most of these film makers even failed to come up within a week. Seeing as how it was difficult for me to collect so many legit votes WITHOUT forming some massive blitzing strategy, I must commend you on the voting practices of your friends, who file in one by one by one.

lol, have you guys been watching the vote counts? If "The Wrong Guy" gets one vote, "Zombies" video goes up one or two...INSTANTLY, what a dumb idea for a site if you let this slide. Moderate your competition, or this site is going nowhere.

As a personal friend of Fungus Ridden, I will say, Ive seen them working their asses off and every vote is legit. However, as I still go and find mmore people to vote for them, legit people, every time FR goes up a vote, these guys magically do at the same time, and have since they were in second place. we noticed that trend. But who are they going to compete against in round 6, themselves?

i'm not too hip on a conspiracy idea, but what i am a little saddened by is the fact they zombies seemingly got away with using a soundclip of "thriller" in their video, which is a copyrighted song and is blatantly against the rules of the contest.

They both suck and they both are cheating, why is it when this starts to happen, only one person gets the blame? Seriously! They both are hustling!

Fungus ridden isnt cheating, every single one of their votes are legit Stein. If the rootclip people would get out here and examine the votes, theyd realize everyone of them comes from a genuine IP Address.

There's a difference between cheating and commercializing your video. Providing an outlet for your video is much different that making several accounts so you can vote multiple times.

Stein, like in my previous comment, I have lots of online support, and not cheating. If you'd like, I can name the game in which I met most of these people: Cybernations. Sorry, I know it seemed suspicious, but that's what happens when you have a bunch of online and real life friends: double the vote showing. It's no different than how KRN got his friends and family to vote, my pool of friends and family is just more extensive... : /

@Cadillac-- The closest I got to cheating was having my sisters (I'm a triplet) vote on our home IP address. I think my mom did too, maybe my dad.

my theory: rootclip makes all the winning videos, because they're really just a group of kids good at making a website that want to be film directors. Take everybodies ideas so someday they can make a good movie themselves and become rich.

most contests are like that. besides, majority of these entries suck, so i don't know why they would want them. zombies especially.

Haha, no, Rootclip obviously has access to much better equipment, actors, and scriptwriters, as seen by the first clip shown in every video.

What a bunch of crybabies...soulshine just got a hold of me a little while ago and asked me to vote for Zombies! Can it be possible that he does have real friends and he is asking them now that we're on the final stretch? If any of us have learned anything (including that other clip that isn't getting blamed for "hustling" when they are getting a lot of last minute votes as well) don't throw all your marbles in at the beginning. Space it out. It was really upsetting when I got to this page and saw all the negative comments. You need to stop being such sore losers.

@ Cadillac let's not be dumb about it. If rootclip made the submissions, don't you think they wouldn't look like total crap? you saw chapter 1, why would the following chapters look like vomit? this is true vote082. I have nothing at stake here however. I just wanted better videos to wi. I voted for a few, and this was definitely not one of them. but if thats how it goes, thats how it goes.

I believe that the copyright law is if it is more than 3 notes, I could be wrong, but it is also mixed in withmore music, so couldn't be sampling or not copyrighted anymore if changed enough? I am not 100% on copyright law, but I think this wouldn't be considered copyrighted.

when rootclip claims zombies as their property they can do whatever they want. Maybe they'll change out that music too, then there's no problem.

I don't know about most recognizable, but definately close the laugh at the end of the song now that's recognizable. ;)

Well, the final vote gain in around an hour was 100.

KRN, even with a large online base of people to pitch my video idea to, I was unable to get 100 votes within 10 hours, despite my feverish typing and quick thinking. This is ALSO while slowly starting to spread the word to family members. I just don't know, I guess I'm a broken man : /

It seems that this site has some huge credibility issues. While I am not sure that the makers of this video cheated, it is obvious that it looks suspicious. After doing a little research, the makers of this clip have entered Rooclip 4 times dating back to the first rendition of this site. All four times they won with a huge surge of last minute votes. The funny thing is that I showed a lot of my colleagues in production the clips and we all agreed that none of them were very good in story or execution. That's what makes it so suspicious. Not that the same people win every week but that they win with really bad videos. If I were the makers of this site, I would be embarassed to have a filmmaker of Michael Moore's stature view these submissions.

Jerome, let me give you the benefit of the doubt. Please, can we see some links to your "publicity". KRN did a tutorial on some of his video techniques. Maybe you guys could share your secrets, as well. Can I see your hard work and publicity?

Everyone on this website can think we cheated all they want to it will not affect me, nor could I do anything to deter their opinions, so what is the point. ing yes the website did call us out which was weird, but I have to tell you, of all the names mentioned in the blog I can only account for 2 which are God and Satan. They are a very cute and funny couple which is why they picked the names to that matched them, cute and funny.
