Chapter 3 - "Looking Glass"
Scott has no idea what he's been thrust into. Trying to elude Tony, he ducks inside a restroom to gather his thoughts. But things are just starting to get weird... Chapter 3: "Looking Glass" is directed by Christopher Arnold and stars Noah Neary as Scott.

Wow! The video quality isn't as good as the others, but the plot twist is really cool.
Kind of reminded me of Jessica from Heroes. Nicely done, abztractman!!
How did you guys do that mirror thing? Nice job!
Thanks -- the mirror: in a nutshell, it was setting a camera up on a tripod, finding the best angle, then doing 2 takes of the scene with the actor. Then, in After Effects, you mask one and voila! You get a mirror that doesn't do what it's supposed to.
As for the whole 'Heroes' parallel. You're absolutely right. Though I really wasn't thinking that at the time. Guess it was just planted inside my brain.
Like that weird alien slug from 'Wrath of Khan'.
Ok... back to work for me....
Not too shabby!!!!!
Scott's a hunk.
I feel that this clip has the most potential for story development, it can be taken in many different directions at this point. I also like how the characters have been lessened to the one guy (Scott) . It seems like his character can be developed more in the next chapter, just in time to bring the other 2 back.
The film quality is a little lower, but I agree with the story line choices. I think the halucinations that the main character is facing could develop into something that either aides or hurts him in the later chapters. I think concentrating on one 2 main characters as the basic "good" vs. "evil" will be easier to digest for the viewer in such a short period of time. I definetly agree that out of the present choices, this clip has the most development potential.
Thanks all - I appreciate the comments.
???
Gotcha man - =) didja think someone stole your identity? Seriously though, good stuff. Go O-36ers!
This story line really is interesting. So, what's the deal? The reflection can actually operate independent of Scott? He said "i'll take care of him, scott."
Hey Polanski don't leave me out. We all need all the help we can get. SOmething is awry at the top there.
I actually really liked that spin. very nice.
Nice job with the mirror shot -- I hate to be the broken record, but the entire concept of the mirror Scott and the real Scott definitely does open endless new and creative concepts to try in future chapters. I suspect this may be only the tip of the ice berg; I'll be waiting to see where you can take us with Chapter 4!
Also, congratulations on being the only combatant, I believe, who managed to stick below the minute line. For this, we're all incredibly lucky that the rulings have been lenient, or you'd have smoked us out two days ago. :P Keep up the good work!
Thanks all. To killerrobotninja: Yes, my idea here was to show something weird going on. The reflection acts independent of Scott. That could be a parallel universe, could be a glitch in the time/space continuum -- it's open for interpretation. But my thought was that maybe the contents of the case were of great importance to that 'other side'. I also wanted to include the line 'your luck's about to change' because, in chapter one, we see Scott's not the luckiest of fellows, and I wanted to use this case and it's power as a catalyst to change that. Perhaps Scott has a bigger destiny and this was only the beginning...
