Judges' Votes
Oops! Double comments, I commented BEFORE I logged in to vote. Well, here's an attempt at recreating: Solid acting by scientist and wife, excellent resolution in the form of a detective denouement, creative storyline, solid production values. Clear winner for the final round of a very chaotic serial.
Good work and thanks for the entertainment to all the competitors!

Props to you guys. That was great. Its funny to look back at all the criticisms and problems with this story. Including ours. Good job!
Interesting idea. Check this out: http://rootclip.com/blog/2008/jun/19/hungryfungus-roasts-rootclip/
That is funny stuff, jaytaylor!
THX bowl! This is sort of my homage to KIDS IN THE HALL and THE WHITEST KIDS YOU KNOW. Just fun.
Jolly good fun. :)
Oh, and you definitely captured the KITH vibe.
I didn't say it wasn't.
ROOT CLIP should consider making a permanent place on the home page for your video. It's fun and inviting and gives some insight as what to expect and be a part of.
and sorry we killed off your woman man
Nice satire. I've ben following these threads, and it looks like you definitely got the last laugh. Hope it translates into the winning clip.
Good stuff. Can't wait to see what Jakus has to say about this. You got my vote, if only because you remembered to have fun with your clips. Anyone treating this like cinema verite' is simply missing the point. Good Luck!
I give it a spooky "Thumbs Up" from beyond the grave.......by the by, popcorn is not as good in heaven as you might think....just something to ponder.....Give my regards to Ebert............oh, and.......BOO!
Cute title. :-)
ARRRRRRRRRGH!!!
(YAWN...STRETCH) Just waking up. Had a lycan friend vote for me earlier. Love the chick, miss the blood.
I thought I might hate this because of the Wake-Up-From-A-Dream cop out, but once it happened, I realized that THERE WAS NO COP OUT. :)
Brilliant little piece here, and it works remarkably well! The music choice (the, erm, track that did not sound like a popular video game series... ;P) was great, and the acting was terrific. I think you guys nailed just about everything at work this round...
And here I thought three entries in the final meant there wouldn't be much of a contest. BOY WAS I WRONG.
Awesome video, brother!
I'm so glad the Mysterious Woman was back for more in this one. Nice use of satire, and well done overall. Cheers!
Pure Delaney Genius. Best frickin' video I've seen. Got my vote.
Thanks for quoting me, it is always fun to see people quote you. Feels weird.
@Bringyourownbowl don't worry we brought her back, Igor had to be lying!
Thank you, Josh. It was all for fun, no ill intent. Love how you mentioned REX 84 and ZOMBIAC 5. It was actually suppose to be pronounced ZOMBIOX but my faithful friend the mysterious lady flubbed that word in that take. Good luck!
Very, very clever!
For essentially a talking head clip, this is very funny, especially for anyone who has followed the various RootClip stories. Some great sight gags, and a nice deployment of the old double-twist finale.
Pretty Funny.
Even one eye can see that this is good.
I LOVE IT!!!!!
good job awesome work
THX to everyone who took time to vote for us. We much appreciate it. This will be our last time entering here on ROOT CLIP. A good friend in the biz told us about this comp so we thought we'd give it a whirl. It was something fun during our down time and kept us creative and away from the corporate production world that we live in every day. My advise to all the future filmmakers on here: take the knowledge and tricks that you all have and begin to focus on your own short, narrative films now. You all have the qualities and desire to produce good stories. And I can't wait to see them. It's been fun and THX Root Clip!
