This one has the best continuity of story line and dialogue. Camera work was not too bad...Never any clever close ups or reaction shots although I did like the two shot forced perspective. I wish the good Dr. would have stayed in that strange character he first introduced with Igor. The warp explosion and super-imposition of the Dr. with himself was very clever and left us with a respectful cliff hanger.

Wow! Two submissions with three days left to go, awesome! You took over acting to a whole new level, nice! Oh and great job with the bag toss. Very slick.

dangman87 did you really just copy jakusB's comment.... Awkward..... any who..... definitely well done... i have to give you that....excellent editing work... better then JakusB's in my opinion. lol. But i don't think this one's gonna get my vote. just don't like the serious tone its taking on this comedic story line. sorry bud
Psh, thanks a lot sora... Haha, nah, I'd have to agree with you. The Experiment was definetly not my best work. I decided to make it on the last day, shot it in an hour, and edited it together the next morning. And whaddya know, the judges liked it!
Great camera tricks, I'm still watching your briefcase throw to figure out how you got it so smooth! I get the feeling the storyline was an afterthought, though. The last thing this chase storyline needs is a mysterious briefcase :(
Definitely a great cloning job with the shooting and editing. And I do like the time travel/mysterious briefcase, but it may add too much to finish in the remaining chapters.
Great split screen bag toss, using the dark shadow area to cover any imperfection in the toss. Good idea! Nice crane shot. The story was thin but good cliffhanger for someone else to build on.
Crane shot? I seem to be missing that. Are you reffering to the pull and zoom effect? So cliche, but it works.
I really, really like this one. :> It invites some intensity into the plot that we've been missing.
I wouldn't mind picking up from here, although the trick is that next chapter's entries need to stop asking new questions, and start solving these ones. Thanks for pseudo-enforcing that with the "next two minutes" line. ;)
Mea culpa! The other video has the crane shot. @JakusB, good eye, I did not notice the pull zoom until you mentioned it. The plain, light background I think may have diluted the effect. Can't possibly be my eyesight....
thanks for the comments! the vertigo shot wasn't as powerful as I'd hoped to create but it was the best I could do handheld... for the briefcase catch, the dark area is just a coincidence, only the actors are 'split'. the briefcase itself is a bit more complicated... I edited it to run smooth as possible without (hopefully) any noticable 'imperfections'. glad you guys enjoyed it!
What?! No Delorean ... Hoe does one travel through time without a Delorean?
Did I say hoe? I've been influenced by too many Canadians lately.
Those Canadians are known for being promiscuous.
And today was Canadian Thanksgiving ...Which is the celebration of their harvest (enter the hoe), and another blatant rip-off of an American holiday.
Hyeah. Canadians.
You betcha!
I smell a filmmaker spotlight.......
I smell bacon ...
i smell what the rock is cooking...
I'm blown away by the fact that (again) it's you, and you. Neat stuff, smooth bag toss, good cliffhanger--some nice camera work. Good luck (and I keep looking forward to what you'll come up with next)!
Doctor Frank Petrelli..... anyone?
A bit vague and, erm, brief. But also very well shot, with some excellent effects and a terrific twist in the plot.
