I vote for "The Creation", the cinematography is great for lego stop-motion, and it produced the only genuine laugh from me when the monster slipped out the window. I'd like to see what these guys would do next.

You can't go wrong with Lego stop-motion. Audio needs some work, though.

I think you can go wrong ... (See above)

I thought this was great! It was funny, and there was actually some good cinematic shots for being a little lego movie. Very creative!

AWESOME! >:3

Way to be daring and different! All this new talent flooding in is pretty exciting, and some of these entries are close to exceptional for newcomers! I really like the goofy Lego-ing around in this one.

Room for improvement? Definitely. But there's a certain charm to the "made on a Saturday afternoon" style, particularly with classic dialogue like, "IGOR, COME HERE," followed by a boring speech with the monster escaping out the window in the background. It's SO RIDICULOUSLY YUMMY. <3

You also had a pretty good selection of sounds; I snickered at the fart sound when the monster broke out. I laugh at that sort of thing. The only big problem I have with this entry is its lackluster ending, but even that doesn't phase me from wanting to follow up from here. I hope this isn't your last Lego animation, because I know you'll improve with your next! :>

Holy crap! I think this is amazing. I love the stop-motion, it's a good change from around here, and the parts that happen in the story are hilarious AND the ending seems pretty good to follow up on. You should ONLY submit lego stop motion.

Nice work. The best part was when the Igor lego took his sunglasses off. We had a good laugh with it. The only part that confused me was when the monster ended up outside.

Not bad ,2 bad you can't win.

Cute! :-) I have to agree with KRN--you had some shots/angles I wouldn't have immediately expected with the whole lego-thing. I admire anyone who has the patience for stop-motion work. And I agree with FungusRidden--it has a roughly made feel to it that (in this case) actually sort of makes it endearing (in a wacky way).

I liked the "wrong switch" creating a strange sort of dance club setting (hmm, suddenly the experiments Dr. Frank's been working on previously could be even more bizarre... ;-), and I thought the waxed floor comment was a neat way to handle an uncooperative lego character's exit of the scene. But when I heard the monster's sort of "whoops" I thought he'd just slipped on the floor, too, not fallen out the window... I guess it'd be clearer to me if I'd seen more of the monster standing by the window (or something like that) in the background before the fall. Nice pizza rolls reference, too ;-).

I could be wrong, but I think this Doctor Frank competition has encouraged a lot of newbies and a lot of thinking outside the box, too. Should be neat to see how this all evolves...

@jhonny is it cause of the music from Blade ?

SMRG is like a long-winded me ... without the less than funny sarcasm.

Everyone wants to be David Moon. Listen kids... don't do it. It's not worth it.

=D

honestly, this might be my favorite.

True. It's not easy being me.

Very cute. I love it. If you don't win this chapter, I say do the same thing for the next chapter. It's so cute and you have so much raw untapped talent that I'd like to see more of you and your work.

Great animation, and I loved the dance music joke, but the story was a little dull.

Dudes, I really like this, original and very time consuming I'm sure! With the story lines in this chapter running in the same vein, your vid's still very unique.....and I have a feeling there are a lot of lego fans in this community

this is really good fun, and extremely well done - nice continuation of the story and a good final shot too.

Major kudos for doing something different (not making it have to be a musical)

This one is much better than the one leading..

10/6/2008 at 11:17 a.m. by killerrobotninja

so does your monster have spider-man-like wall scaling skills?

10/6/2008 at 6 p.m. by moviefanatic

I was cheering for this one, sorry bud

10/6/2008 at 9:56 p.m. by killerrobotninja

Yep, you had my vote too. I hope we see you around here next round.

Oh man! I loved this video!! The dance music bit was awesome. Reminded me of The Cheat flipping the switch on Strongbad and throwing glow-sticks. I'd love to see more from you guys in future chapters.

Good try, guys; stopmotion's a lot of work, and you pulled it off well. All we need is to get you a better camera and a few more voters, and you'll be in the running again next round. ;)

My past experience tells me that Chapter 3 is an excellent place to drop in something unique and unexpected. Don't let us down! ;)
