Judges' Votes

For the extremely strong production values, the relatively successful attempt to reclaim the story by bringing back the original characters, and the restoration of some dryly ridiculous humour, this one definitely gets my vote. It's also pretty hilarious - with an added dose of absurdity.

With so many (dare I say) "weird" twists and turns in this story, I didn't think I would see as complete an ending as this. Not bad guys, not bad at all. Excellent editing!

I'm going with Day 32 on this round-consistency in plot, good production values, (some excellent shots at the beginning), could'a used a stronger close, but good never the less.

Corn was funny, but fell behind in plot and production values. Lot of energy though, always good.

Christmas was fun and full of action, but someone should have reminded the lead: "Dude, don't be the guy who wears the band's T-shirt to the concert, don't be that guy!" Good effort. Changing locations adds value.

The Breakfast Club was simply disconnected from the story through line, though stabbing the camera man for his cell ringing was funny

Some really funny parts in this clip. Some good editing too. Nice work guys.

By the way, thank you Les! That was my favorite part of this script. AJ is one funny guy.

Gabe, I didn't even realize Andy was wearing it until I was editing. I think he wore it for Dr. Frank too.

Thanks Paul! I really wanted to get a tighter shot in the beginning, but my lowest lens was a 28mm, and I couldn't get much closer without the risk of losing focus.

Thanks for the props! We were really excited to try making this from opposite ends of the country, although we didn't quite embrace the challenge as full on as I'd hoped we could... :/ Hats off to the East Coast team, though, for handling the majority of labor involved with this entry.

And, a big thanks to whoever attempted to change my password, too. I know I don't get on to comment as often as I should, so having a second person trying to do it for me really rocks!

"The Alien" sure has a lot of post-modernism running through it, and this one is no exception. I love it. Nothing wrong with a little self-aware cinema. Beats awkward pretentiousness any day of the week.

This is the only clip that provided a complete resolution to all of the conflicts introduced by the previous clips...and that calls for my vote.
