Boy friend goes to the car and gets duct tape and ties up the intruder. But just as he's about to talk to Lainey the robber disappears and then, after an accident so does Lainey. Where did they go? How can Bf find her again?

Nicely shot and edited, although the music mix is a mess (not to mention some random glimpses of people in the background). But it's decently acted, and it shows by far the most invention with characters and story progression, with a final twist that leaves things wide open for the next chapter.

Thanks JakusB, I'm working from imovie so I don't have the best options for editing and I filmed it the 11th so.... not a lo of time to perfect.

Um the snow wasn't really consistent with the previous chapter. You guys really should have worked on that. J/k! But seriously you looked cold. Great concept! I loved the twist at the end with the hat. Opens up a lot of possibilities for the following chapters.

If you look back to where the "alien" should be when the bf is walking towards the kitchen you can only see shoes, not an alien. This wasn't shown very well though... I admit. This is my first time. Oh and it was 16F out side and my actor was in a Tee-shirt. It was COLD!

I like the way you utilized the hat! Very clever, I could see the storyline moving in some surprising directions from here.

There's definitely some opportunity to improve with the editing and camerawork, but that'll come with time and experience. This is a good start with a powerful idea in it -- well done and keep at it!

This clip gets my vote. Although JakusB and FungusRidden's video was supremely better in all technical and aesthetic aspects, this story is much better. I brought Jim into this world, and I'd be happy to see him go. Sorry guys.

@Jay, Jim will never be "gone." As long as there are regulars on this site, people will always make small references to him. And I consider our video to have made a very small reference to him. We only used the name Jim. No Santa costumes, just a simple name (cause we couldn't think of anything better.)

@Rockstarproduction Way to be encouraging. I thought this was all about learning to make better films not about dissing other peoples. When muscleman and I pulled this together in 4 days instead of ten I knew that there was room to improve. I understand that mine isn't the best as far as my editing work but this is my FIRST TRY! Gimme a break.

Hey, I agree with this one having the creative edge. A black-hole hat is a pretty slick stroke of genius! I like the way they incorporated it as a story element.

And yeah, c'mon Jay, don't take away HungryMother's livelihood! ;) Although, the Jim Reappearance Legacy is all yours. So thank you for reviving him to the public eye.
