I've recently been debating constantly about which badass action heroes are toughest, and the debate is pretty intense.

Name two actors you choose (please list two or three movies they're in to help us out) and then let the world go at it. :3

Do NOT post what you think personally until other people have spoken up first. >:O You CAN'T be biased if you're introducing the match-up!

And what we'll slowly do from this is develop a BADASS DATABASE to determine where each action star stands compared to the others. :>

Here's our first match-up:

HUGH JACKMAN (X-Men, Van Helsing, The Prestige) vs. HARRISON FORD (Indiana Jones, Air Force One, Star Wars)

@Fungus, how can you consider that a serious match up? Harrison Ford would win with his arms and legs tied while blindfolded. Heres a real match up:

Chris Rock Bad Company, Lethal Weapon 4 vs. Chris Tucker Rush Hour, Fifth Element

Whoa whoa whoa... Hugh Jackman would destroy Harrison. Hugh works out every day! I read up on his workout schedule and diet and it is intense.

I would bet on Chris Tucker because he is crazy and was trained by Jackie Chan in Rush Hour. He has to have learned some good moves from one of he masters.

Robert De Niro (Taxi Driver; Raging Bull; Goodfellas) vs Clint Eastwood (A Fistful of Dollars; The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly; Hang 'Em High)

Yeah, but what you didn't account for his Harrison is the MAN. Hugh is a bit of a girly man... He can work out and eat all the vegetables he wants, but he still wont be THE MAN. Watch any Harrison movie and you'll have at least one moment in the movie where your like "Wow, hes the man..." Example, Air Force One "Get off my plane!"

And Clint Eastwood would also easily win. DeNiro is fat and slow. Clint would eat him alive.

Clint Eastwood is in his 70's, depends on how you want to compare them, there is an obvious physical winner in most of these (Chris Rock/Tucker who knows)

So far, I'd go with Harrison Ford, Christ Rock (Tucker is crazy, but not badass), and Clint Eastwood (dude is like 70 and still kicking ass). So then, here are my proposals:

Bruce Willis (Die Hard series, Sin City, Unbreakable) vs. Samuel L. Jackson (Star Wars Prequels, Snakes on a Plane, Pulp Fiction)

Oh, you kidders!

HUGH JACKMAN over Harrison Ford -- take notice that Harrison Ford routinely gets beaten up and chased away -AND- he was in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Instafail.

And Hugh Jackman rips people apart with claws. And sings.

CHRIS TUCKER over Chris Rock -- he learned all of Jackie Chan's moves between Rush Hour 2 and 3 without anyone noticing.

CLINT EASTWOOD over Robert DeNiro, because he wouldn't hesitate to break someone's neck IRL.

BRUCE WILLIS over Sam Jackson by a mile. Bruce Willis can't die; Sam Jackson can't beat Hayden Christiansen.

WILL SMITH (Men In Black, I Am Legend, Hancock) vs. DWAYNE THE ROCK JOHNSON (Walking Tall, Scorpion King, Doom)

I still have to disagree with you Fungus about Ford... Crystal Skull wasn't his fault... he got raped...

I don't even have a clue about tucker and rock...

And deff Bruce Willis. Hes wicked badass.

I'm gonna have to throw my vote for Will Smith. Simply because he wasn't a wrestler for many years. That kinda ruined the rock for me...

Elmo or Big Bird?

I'd probably go with Samuel L. Jackson for my proposal. He's a bad motherf*er. As for the newest additions, I just saw RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN and am feeling generous, so I'll go with Dwayne Johnson.

...and I refuse to vote on JakusB's. This is supposed to be movie badasses, not generic character battles. :<

So, I now suggest:

Vin Diesel (Chronicles of Riddick, Fast & Furious, XXX) vs. Jason Statham (Crank, Transporter, Death Race)

Statham the Unstoppable, hands down, but first:

Sam Jackson couldn't beat Mr. T, let alone Bruce Willis. Remember Die Hard 3?

And I STILL maintain that Hugh Jackman is tougher than Harrison Ford. Ford gets the Golden American Hero award, no question... but Jackman's Wolverine trailer beats everything Harrison Ford has ever appeared in.

I also think I vote for Dwayne Johnson over Will Smith, because he's muscle-bound and Will Smith is rather puny. But then, Will Smith is a surprising guy, and Dwayne's sort of a doof.
