Upstate New York is some sort of hotbed for professional filmmaking, I hear. All the best directors are bringing their productions there. ;)

Actually, New York recently offered like a 35% tax rebate to any +1 million $ productions that film in New York state. I think Michigan is the only other state to have that deal, so filmmakers top picks now for where to film are Canada, Michigan, and New York. (Not that this relates to the high number of rootclippers from NY....)

It'd be cool to see more professional productions coming out this way due to the tax rebates now, though. :/ Maybe some chances to work on them?
