Can we talk about the color scheme here for a second?

I mean, everyone who knows me knows that I'm partial to green and black like some sort of fruitcake, but doesn't this seem a little too The Alien? Or would new colors ruin the Rootclip essence?

And what about tiny drunken Santas in the background? I really feel like Jim needs a tribute somewhere...

No. Jim does not need a tribute anywhere.

I like the black/grey and green, personally. What would changing the color scheme accomplish, anyway?

It could always be a user choice. I'm not sure if its possible, but there could always be the option for people to personalize how the rootclip site looks to them.

Hmm... I'm personally a big fan of the current color scheme, but I agree with AJ it would be nice to see occasional changes to the site to keep it fresh. Is redoing the whole site and color scheme? Nah... Unless you can actually do what fierce is proposing, which would be sweet, but difficult.

NO, GET THIS:

The winner of each chapter gets to pick the NEW color for one of the elements of the site- !

So, say, Chapter 2 winner gets to pick what color the background becomes (from limited options, perhaps). Chapter 3 winner gets to select the inner-window color (from options that will make it not burn eyes). Chapter 4 picks text color, maybe? Etc.

RAD, RIGHT? >:3

And I think when a character evolves from nothing into a recognizable entity, he/she deserves substantial respect as a popular icon. :/ Jim is the first true Rootclip franchised character! He might not deserve a shrine, but something...

We can start a thread about him and let other people weigh in. :P

Lets hope JakusB doesn't become the next franchised character... Be forewarned, I saw the creation of "Jakus Bills" yesterday... rockness will be back...

I thought this was supposed to be about color scheme, not characters? Anyway, that's an interesting idea AJ, but I think it might get too complicated or the site might end up looking really ugly when people pick colors that clash with each other. Best to leave the site design to the owners.

I like the creativity of the idea, but I agree, the actual implementation could get messy, I'm diggin it as is for now

I don't know if I'm a big fan of the scheme here, but when I see these colors ... I think RootClip, so I would NOT change it.

I think "Jim" and "JakusB" merchandising would be so cool ... A t-shirt that says, "Jim's Been Drinkin' Again ..." and a one that says, "I won a RootClip round, and all I got was this lousy extra RootClip t-shirt that JakusB won last round, but told Erik and Kevin to keep because he has too many RootClip t-shirts already", t-shirt.

There could always be a rootclip t-shirt that says "Nothing's real Jake." I think that line is about the only good that's come from the rockness monster. XD
