@RC hey , during the verifying winner, do you check that votes are unique ? Cause if not what does verifying winner mean, aside from I guess saying ok under 2 min and ok clothing is right and yup that's a cliffhanger. I just wanted to make sure verifying vote doesn't mean waiting on judge .that it infact is making sure people win . I plan to work real hard on round 5 and if I'm going to loose money by taking off work I want to make sure its worth it.(I come off as a bitch but love rootclip)
@jhonnyonthespot, before a video even goes live on the site, we ensure that there is no use of copyrighted material and that the video is under 120 seconds.
We do have measures in place to verify that votes are legitimate and coming from different users. During the winner verification process we are going through the votes and looking for suspicious activity as well as ensuring that the winning user is of legal age to participate and claim their prizes.
We encourage our users to promote their work on our site by sending out invitations to vote to family, friends and co-workers. If you want to leverage Email, a blog or a social networking site to solicit votes, that is up to you.
