We stumbled upon this really neat video from Action Figure productions in Austin, TX. Looks like they were messing around in their studio with the Phantom camera that is capable of shooting thousands of frames per second.
The result is a bit violet, but absolutely breathtaking.
What would you do with a camera like this?

i saw this on myspace video. quite interesting indeed!
"Hey guys, I have this sweet idea. you guys can do cool stuff in front of a camera and we'll slow it down really slow. Oh... don't mind this boxing glove, it's nothing. Just try not to flinch and.... action!"
Hmmm. I guess I would punch people too ...
I believe it was Andy Warhol who pioneered the whole idea that if you slowed down film, it made things more artistic. There is that new Casio camera that has my attention lately. I saw a tomato put in a blender to sad electronic music, and it was very moving. I think Warhol was definitely on to sometime!
I'm staying away from davidmoon! :-)
I wonder how much that camera costs? I mean even to rent it would be really cool to do some work with cars and drag racing.
Actually, according to their literature, the Phantom V12 can shoot up to a million frames per second. That's a whole lotta frames!!!
