WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be chosen from eligible entries received during the four (4) submission periods set forth below.

(a) University of Tennessee Film Project Chapters 2-5: The winning student film will be selected for each of the four voting periods based on the percentage of total votes received. Total votes will be a combination of User Votes (50% of total vote) and Judges Votes (50% of total vote) for any voting period. There will be Guest Judges for each voting period and the combined total of their votes shall equal 50% of vote total. Each Judge's vote will take into consideration the submissions' creativity, continuity and production. The entry receiving the highest percentage of combined User and Judge Votes in the online voting during the applicable period will be deemed the winner of that period, upon winner verification described below. Each winning video will be appended to the previous video(s) and the story will continue, beginning a new submission and voting period until the story is complete with the winner of chapter 5.

(b) Submission and Voting Periods. Each submission and voting period begins at 12:00 PM ET on the start date and ends at 11:59 AM ET on the end date based on the following periods:

Submission periods:
Chapter 2 - January 20, 2009 - February 9, 2009
Chapter 3 - February 13, 2009 - March 2, 2009
Chapter 4 - March 6, 2009 - March 30, 2009
Chapter 5 - April 3, 2009 - April 20, 2009

Voting periods:
Chapter 2 - February 9, 2009 - February 13, 2009
Chapter 3 - March 2, 2009 - March 6, 2009
Chapter 4 - March 30, 2009 - April 3, 2009
Chapter 5 - April 20, 2009 - April 24, 2009

Submissions and votes received outside of applicable periods provided above will not be eligible. Approved videos will be posted to the website within approximately 24 to 48 hours after receipt of the submission during the applicable submission period. Videos will be available for voting during the applicable voting period once they have been approved and posted to the website; therefore, the actual voting period for some submissions may be less than the time frame set forth above.

Dr. Robert Legg, in his sole discretion, will make tie-breaker decision and choose a winner(s). Decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters. Winners will be notified by phone/mail/email within 48-hours, in Sponsor's discretion, after all votes have been counted. The winning video will be announced within 24 hours of the end of the related voting period. Upon confirmation that the winner meets all participation rules, the winning video will then be added to the story; therefore, the actual winning video may not be posted by the start time of the next submission period. Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible submissions and votes received.
